As a professional psychologist, I regularly run training sessions for senior leaders and business executives that help them handle stress, and change.

About this webinar

I’m passionate that if you work in a leadership role, your job shouldn’t negatively impact your life. There are also plenty of things you can do to make stress work for you.

A lot is written about stress – and most of it is negative.

But stress can be a good thing as our bodies naturally respond well to increased pressure by motivating us to perform.

The trick in life is determining how to stay positively thriving on it rather than negatively drowning in it!

Some of the ways to learn about stress are about recognizing that many of us are drawn to leadership roles, but don’t realize the pressures involved, or might need to appreciate that our personalities can affect how easily we find this position.

Many of us are driven, focused and often highly motivated so we like control, otherwise we can be severely frustrated and unhappy.

Understanding this and the role adrenaline plays in our lives, is a crucial first step. Then it is possible to recognize the natural ups and downs in body chemistry that occur because of experiencing a very demanding role, and one in which we are often not in control.

The session covers how to handle the ups and downs and still stay motivated and happy.

This is what you get
for your investment:

This is what you get
for your investment:

  1. To help provide a working definition of stress, understand why you may be attracted to stress in your role, and recognize how to thrive on this rather than drown in it. This in turn, helps ensure positive work/ life balance and encourages the right culture to recognize stress.
  2. You will learn to determine the significance of any symptoms of stress and use simple techniques to manage them well. Identifying your own personal threshold helps recognise when you are under pressure as opposed to stress and avoids burning out. Improving self-awareness like this also helps support others, whether team members or family.
  3. I will cover the ‘chemistry of stress’ but this is much more than just the role of adrenaline. It looks at the interplay between the chemicals produced in the brain and those produced in the body, each of which contributes to how much stress we experience and how intensely it is felt. Understanding how these hormones influence performance enables us to make positive decisions to proactively manage our reactions to events. And in my experience, executives and senior people love being in control of what happens to them!
  4. Then we will cover simple tools and tips based on my work with ‘MEPS or mental, emotional, physical and strategies for sleep and self’. These strategies help reduce stress and make a difference to how well you handle it in future. That in turn, encourages your ability to bounce back and build resilience when faced with difficult situations.

This webinar gives you a toolkit for
better handling stress in your life.
