Welcome to episode 115 with my guest Fitz Koehler

Fitz is a fitness innovator who has been teaching fitness around the globe for decades.  She’s also the president of Fitzness International LLC.  Specialising in fitness education via mass media and fitness programming for children.

Fitz has worked with hundreds of the biggest stars in television, radio, film, and sports.  For example, Brooke Shields, Christina Applegate, and Venus Williams. She appears frequently on TV, in front of live audiences as a keynote speaker, and has also written the “Cancer Comeback” series.

So, what does this episode cover?

Fitz’s personal story behind her brand started in 2019 when she was diagnosed with advanced, aggressive breast cancer that had progressed to her lymphatic system.  Throughout her treatment Fitz refused to let her career end, instead she made choices to work through the side effects of the surgeries, radiotherapy and chemotherapy in order to continue with her work.  She tripled her business as her result and that was despite her 15-month cancer battle!

Making the decision to survive and thrive was the starting point for Fitz in her defiant battle against cancer.  Fitz decided that her kids and her career would come first.  These two things in her life brought her so much happiness.  She was not prepared to give up on her children or her dream career, by letting cancer win.  Fitz chose to keep going, and thereby made the most of an horrendous situation.

What did that mean for her?

Although Fitz was successful prior to her cancer battle, after her ordeal she realised that there was the potential to combine her cancer journey with her fitness experience.  The “Cancer Comeback” book series is proof that anyone can endure hardships by utilizing perspective, passion, and positivity.

Fitz’s key message is that fitness should be embraced by all of society.  She says, “if you’re not getting stronger, you’re getting weaker.”  Being proactive now will improve your life both personally and professionally. She promotes health and fitness as an all-round solution for most mental and physical issues and  is passionate about guiding others to live better and longer.
